Background

Theresa Gaignard graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Arts in 1990.

After graduation, Theresa moved to the Boston area to work with the elderly at the Winchester Mt. Vernon House, where she assisted the Administrator/ Director, Eileen Salendar, from 1990 through 1996.

In the fall of 1995, Theresa enrolled in the Katharine Gibbs Entre program, an intensified business program designed to give college graduates the edge they need for a computerized office environment,
and graduated with honors.

Upon graduation, Katharine Gibbs placed Theresa with Garrett Nagle & Company, Inc., an asset management firm in downtown Boston. Here, she served as the Marketing Assistant to the Vice President of Marketing and Sales.

Theresa's duties at GN&Co. included one-on-one administrative assistance to the VP of Marketing, obtaining market research from various sources, and organizing direct mail campaigns to clients and leads. During this time she became a Microsoft Office power user. Theresa also became an ardent supporter of ACT!, a contact management software designed for salesmen. At GN&Co., Theresa used ACT! to develop both the company's client and leads databases.

In 1999, Theresa worked a short stint for Zefer, a dotcom consulting firm, as the Assistant to the Executive Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Business Competency. At Zefer Theresa discovered Flash and other Internet media. She then decided to learn Web design and refocus her career path.

In the summer of 2000, Theresa took a full-time position as the Web designer and an instructor for Xintra Computer Certification Provider, a computer training school. She also undertook the added duties of media design, media buys, and advertisement.

Theresa followed her entrepreneurial spirit to found and operate learnfromT.com, your software instruction and marketing solutions alternative.

Theresa currently works at Harvard Business School as a faculty assistant.
